For our asynchronous workshops, we will share lessons that consist of a set video links, reflection questions, and in some cases, extended reading. Each lesson will be centered around a form of Haitian folkloric dance and/or a theme such as kindness, diversity, or flexibility. These lessons will also be tailored according to student age: 3-6, 7-11, or 12-18.
Video will consist of the following:
Always: Haitian folkloric dance tutorials, led by Jean Appolon
Sometimes: Jean Appolon Expressions choreography, filmed on stage
Sometimes: Curated selections of choreography by other companies that are relevant to the lesson theme
