Description: The JAE Community Dance Group offers a seasonal performance experience open to dancers of all levels, backgrounds, and abilities. Participants are invited to join Jean and/or Velouse for weekly one-hour rehearsals accompanied by renowned Haitian Master Drummers Josil Rebert and Arnaud Lauture. Rooted in the rich traditions of Haitian Folkloric dance and music, each season’s choreography is thoughtfully crafted around a central theme and rhythm, infusing each movement with cultural depth and artistic expression. Dancers will have the opportunity to perform at select events throughout the Greater Boston area and within JAE’s diverse community programming.

Please note: Community Dancers are asked to attend at least 8 of the 9 rehearsals and must be available to perform at the JAE Dance Center on Friday, April 3rd from 6-7:30pm.
