We will be presenting a child-centered version of its upcoming production, Lakou Ayiti. This piece is focused on the immigrant experience and one's sense of home and belonging. The 3pm matinee on Saturday the 18th is very family friendly and will open with a reading of the beautiful picture book called Mama's Nightingale, written by Haitian-American Edwidge Danicat. This story paints a picture of one family's experience of immigration and separation. There will also be an opportunity for the children to jump onto stage and move around with the dancers of JAE.
