Haitian Folkloric Dance Class with live drumming - FREE and open to the community!
When: Sunday March 12th from 3-5pm at Congo Square
Location: Congo Square, located on the edge of New Orleans’ French Quarter, has been a gathering place for African and Native Americans dating back centuries. The weekly gatherings of enslaved Africans began in the 1740’s. Jean Appolon is eager to bring JAE’s community Haitian Folkloric class with live drumming to this pivotal location for black history.
