On Saturday, June 15th, join us in celebrating the power of dance, music, and community expression with our current nonprofit partner, the amazing team at Jean Appolon Expressions. To help you get a sense of the vital work they do to promote hope and healing through dance, we’re transforming our upstairs taproom at Lamplighter CX into an immersive performance space. From 6:30 – 9:30 pm, stop by 110 N. First St. and witness the virtuosic dancers of Jean Appolon Expressions bring their vibrant choreography to life alongside exhilarating live drumming from their dedicated Haitian Master Drummers.
Your sliding scale ticket grants you access to this unique, one-time performance, as well as the entire party hosted at our upstairs bar, where our complete draft list will be available for purchase. Be sure to try our collaboration beer brewed with JAE, Jenjanm, a Haitian-Inspired Ale with Passionfruit & Ginger. We’ll also offer an event-exclusive beer cocktail– our refreshing Ginger Shandy🍹.
All of the proceeds from this community celebration and performance will benefit JAE’s dance education programs for youth in the Greater Boston area. A commitment to social justice drives this programming, allowing young dancers to foster connections and build resilience through the transformative power of dance. We can’t wait to come together to experience Jean Appolon Expressions’ joyous artistry and join with them in sharing the liberating power of Haitian-folkloric dance to cultivate healing and the joy of movement in people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds towards a socially just world.
