Spring Break Teen Intensive
During the 2017 April school vacation week, JAE held a free teen intensive for 30+ students, in partnership with The Dance Complex and The Boston Children's Museum. Each day the students participated in Yoga, Horton Modern, Folkloric Haitian and choreography. Jean Appolon worked alongside Boston dance legends, Nailah Randall-Bellinger, and Adrienne Hawkins to make the week a large success. JAE company dancers also taught, assisted and choreographed throughout the week. Monday thru Saturday the intensive was held at the Dance Complex and the final performance was held at The Boston Children's Museum on Sunday April 23rd.
Haiti Summer Dance Institute 2017
JAE is working hard to fundraise and make the Haiti Summer Institute a success. This year is extra special because Jean will be holding the Port Au Prince institute for six weeks, instead of four, at the historical Hotel Oloffson from June 26th-August 4th. He will also head to Arcahaie, at teh beginning of August to partner with Hope On a String and bring JAE's programming to their community youth. Company dancer, Jean-Sebastien Duvilaire, will also be holding a satelite of JAE's summer intensive in Jeremie, Haiti, his hometown. We need your support to make these amazing offerings come to fruition. DONATE HERE!
