Volunteer Accounting Intern/Bookkeeper

  • Bookkeeping and reconciliation of bank accounts/cash receipts
  • Data gathering, entry, and preparation
  • Non-profit Quickbooks management
  • Board fundraising assistance
  • Support with annual 990 Tax Return

Requirements & Commitment:

  • Experience working with the financial aspects of a non-profit or small business.  Studies in business administration, finance, or accounting preferred.
  • Must be at least 18
  • 2-5 hours a week
  • Trustworthy and organized individual
  • Able to collaborate with an organization of committed, passionate, inclusive and fun-loving folks.

Volunteer General Intern

  • Assist with company management and organization
  • Development and grant writing
  • Marketing
  • Social Media
  • Teen Programming support 

Requirements & Commitment:

  • Candidates should be proficient in Google Drive and confident in writing for a variety of sources.
  • Internships are available in the fall, spring, and summer and length can vary based on individual’s timelines.
  • Work directly with JAE's leaders to mold the internship to fit individual goals, in conjunction the company’s needs.
  • Must be at least 18
  • 2-5 hours a week

Professional Dancer (JAE Boston)

JAE discovers most of its professional company dancers through its Boston and Haiti communities. If you are interested in potentially joining the professional company, please attend our weekly Saturday Haitian Folkloric classes from 1:30-3:00 at the Dance Complex to get to know the form, style, and repertoire of our robust community.
