• Mindbody Account Required: Prospective studio renters must create a Mindbody account with JAE. A valid credit/debit card must be on file with the primary renter/paying entity’s Mindbody account (through their profile).

• Age Restriction: You must be the age of 18 or older to sign up for a membership. 

  • Parents/guardians may create an account and add their child as a family member. They may sign their child up for a studio rental and must be present during the reservation.

• Rental Frequency: The studio is available to rent for a single reservation, multi-day reservation, or weekly recurring reservations.

• Reservation Processing Time: We are scaling up our studio operations gradually. At this time, we ask that you submit rental requests at least 4 weeks before your desired reservation date.

• Shoe Restrictions: Stiletto heels and percussion shoes (e.g. tap, flamenco, clogging) are not permitted on the marley dance floor. To preserve the dance floor, we strongly encourage performing artists and class attendees to take off their outdoor shoes in the entrance foyer or wear alternative dance shoes/footwear. Shoe covers may be provided to event guests. Help us extend the longevity of the dance floor! 

At this time, liability insurance (e.g. general, commercial, professional) is a standard requirement for the license agreement. We will share alternatives and considerations for specific use types as they become available. 

Rates on the sliding scale are determined based on the desired use of studio amenities/equipment and the paying entity (i.e. individual/artist, small business/non-profit, and institution/corporate).

New renters must be at least 18 years old. It may take us 48 hours, or up to 1 week to respond to rental requests. Below is the general procedure for reserving the studio.

Desired rental times may be placed on hold until the license agreement is signed. Rental requests are not final until confirmed by the JAE Dance Center staff through Mindbody. The requesting renter will receive an email confirmation approving the reservation.

A non-refundable deposit is required upon submission of the signed license agreement. This deposit will be applied toward the total fee and guarantees the reservation of the specified time and amenities. Please note that the deposit is non-refundable under any circumstances, including cancellation. 

Small Scale: 25% of total rental, up to $350 
Large Scale: 25% of total rental

Studio Rental Payment(s) are processed within 24-48 hours of your first reservation appointment. For recurring/multi-day reservations, payment may be processed on a payment schedule.

We understand that unexpected circumstances arise. If you need to cancel your rental reservations, please email operations@jeanappolonexpressions.org or cancel directly in Mindbody before the date of your reservation. Your rental deposit will not be refunded. 

If the event needs to be rescheduled rather than canceled, and a future date is available, we will apply payments to the future event.
