COVID-19 Performance Options
During the pandemic, JAE has been striving to continue bringing community together with dance without introducing any health or safety risks. The company can offer outdoor performances, catered to park spaces. We have also developed virtual performances (with either a live solo or a recorded performance), which can be followed by a video-based Q&A, or even brief online workshop. We are open to working with groups in person as well, to coordinate socially distanced, indoor performances in line with current health regulations. Public Performance
JAE can perform one of our own evening-length performances at your venue (currently booking Traka & Kiltrièl Conexiones) or bring one or two pieces of choreography to your event.
School Performance

JAE has performed for students at elementary and secondary schools, as well as colleges and universities. We end most school performances with an interactive component and Q&A. For many schools, we also conduct a full dance workshop before or after the show.

Jean Appolon Expressions (JAE) offers dynamic and engaging performances between 30-90 minutes, that can be designed for any audience. These performances features signature JAE repertoire performed by JAE Company dancers. The performances inspires audiences with the beauty and excitement of live theater, including dance, music, spoken word and vivid costumes. These are also designed to educate audiences about Haiti–and its folkloric dances, culture, history and people–through an engaging and contemporary format. JAE performances can be followed by a Q&A with Jean Appolon and Company dancers and musicians, as desired.
Requirements for Performance
Marley dance floor preferred, wooden floor acceptable, with a minimum area of 20’ by 20’ (ideal is 40’ x 30’)
Sound system with Av plug in and microphone
Green Room with bathroom access for artists
